Listen to your identified songs in Spotify, Deezer, or another app on an Android device
On an Android device, you can automatically add songs you identify to a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Spotify, or open and play your identified songs in Deezer, Amazon Music, YouTube, or YouTube Music.
You can also set a default music app for listening to your identified songs, letting you quickly open the song in your chosen app.
Note: To use Spotify or other music apps with Shazam, the apps must be installed on your device, and you must be a subscriber.
Sync your identified songs to a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Spotify on an Android device
Go to the Shazam app
on an Android device, then tap
(or swipe to the Library).
Tap
, then tap Connect (next to Spotify).
After you’re connected, a “My Shazam Tracks” playlist is created in Spotify. Your identified songs are automatically added to the playlist.
To disconnect Shazam from Spotify, tap Disconnect in Shazam app settings.
Although you can’t add your identified songs to the “My Shazam Tracks” playlist in Apple Music and Spotify simultaneously, all of your songs are saved in your Library in the Shazam app and are available on all of your devices (when you’re signed in). You can change your Spotify or Apple Music preferences at any time in Shazam app settings.
Open an identified song in Spotify, Deezer, or another music app on an Android device
Go to the Shazam app
on an Android device, then tap
(or swipe to the Library).
To see all songs, tap Songs.
Do any of the following:
Tap
on a song, then tap an option in the list.
Tap a song, tap “Open song in” in the track screen, tap an available music app, then tap Just Once or Always. (Always isn’t available for Apple Music Classical or YouTube.)
If you tapped Always, the music app you chose is set as the default and the “Open song in” button is replaced by that app’s button.
If you’ve set a default music app (or connected Shazam to Spotify in Shazam app settings), tap the [music app name] button to open the song in that app.
Set your default music app on an Android device
Go to the Shazam app
on an Android device, tap
(or swipe to the Library), then do either of the following:
Tap Songs, tap a song, tap “Open song in” in the track screen, tap an available music app, then tap Always.
Tap
, tap “Open songs in other music apps,” tap an available music app, then tap “Set default.”
Apple Music Classical and YouTube can’t be set as defaults.
The “Open song in” button in the track screen is replaced by a button for the music app you chose. You can easily change your default music app.
Change your default music app on an Android device
Go to the Shazam app
on an Android device, tap
(or swipe to the Library), then do either of the following:
Tap Songs, tap a song, tap and hold the [music app name] button in the track screen, tap an available music app, then tap Always.
Tap
, tap “Default music app,” tap an available music app, then tap “Set default.”
