Change how contacts are sorted
You can sort contacts in the contacts list by first or last name.
Choose Contacts > Preferences, then click General.
Click the Sort By pop-up menu to sort contacts by first or last name.
Tip: You can use the Phonetic First/Last Name and Phonetic Company fields on cards to sort the names phonetically. For example, if you use English on your computer and enter a name in Japanese characters with an English phonetic spelling, the name appears in the list in its original characters but is sorted alphabetically by its phonetic spelling.
